Jeremy here, well they say that all good things have to end, unfortunately that is true of the Christmas holidays and today is twelfth night, so time to take down the remaining decorations and clear the way for the start of the new year.
For me the New Year means the start of a new place of work, and so at 7.30 this morning I found myself wending my way through some beautiful scenery near Canterbury on my way to a new job.

It's amazing how quickly those hazy days of over-eating, late lie-ins and getting up at whatever time you want are now fading into the distance, and now is time to get rid of the excess pounds too.
Reality can be a shock for the system, but the New Year also brings with it an opportunity to start afresh. One area that is good to start afresh is the area of personal finance.this year I am promoting "I Need Money" as my book of the month.
This is a great book with financial tips and business start-up ideas for adults and kids alike.
I was fortunate enough to be able to read it over Christmas and would recommend it as essential reading if you are serious about teaching financial habits to your kids.If you'd like a copy just click this link >> here.
Once again, a happy New Year, let's hope it's a good one for us all!
